High torsional rigidity and constant torsional backlash over the entire gearbox service life ensure consistently high performance
High torque density thanks to high performance and short design
Highest quality standards for a long service life and extended maintenance intervals
14 mm precision linear motion
The SP14BSA 14 mm ball screw linear actuator combines a compact stepper motor with a C7 ball screw in an external-drive configuration. Two lead options provide 0.005 or 0.01 mm travel per 1.8° step for miniature positioning mechanisms.
Choose a 1 mm or 2 mm lead to balance positioning resolution, linear speed and available thrust.
The hardened SCM415H shaft and nut provide a compact transmission platform with axial clearance of no more than 0.02 mm.
The translating screw is supported by the application guide, allowing a short motor package and application-specific screw length.

External-drive integration
The ball screw translates through the motor while the nut and moving load are supported by the application guide. Select the lead, screw length, end machining and optional feedback package for the target stroke and duty cycle.

Typical applications
SP14BSA is designed for compact guided mechanisms that require controlled travel, low axial clearance and flexible mechanical customization.
Compact sample handling, valve positioning, dosing and miniature instrument axes.
Lens adjustment, inspection modules and guided micro-positioning mechanisms.
Small-format transfer, alignment and fixture positioning in precision automation.
End-effector adjustment, gripper mechanisms and space-constrained linear axes.
Series context
External-drive ball screw actuators are available in 14, 20, 28, 35, 42 and 57 mm frame sizes, with series travel options from 0.005 to 0.1 mm per step. Integrated DLG mechanisms are available for selected 28 and 42 mm products; SP14BSA uses the external-drive layout shown on this page.
